Dr. Leah Bradshaw

Leah Bradshaw PhD (Zurich) has been conducting forensic phonetic research at the University of Zürich, Switzerland. Since 2021, focusing on voice recognition capabilities, voice variability and voice judgements and completed her PhD in February 2025. Currently, she is a Research Associate at the University of Zürich, conducting research on cross-language human voice processing, as well as teaching numerous Master’s level courses, including forensic phonetics. In 2019, she completed an MSc in Forensic Speech Science at the University of York, during which she acquired and developed skills in forensic speaker comparison and forensic transcription, which she has maintained through the Centre for Forensic Phonetics and Acoustics in Zürich. In addition, Leah has been involved with over 30 cases at JP French International and specialises in forensic transcription.

Leah is a member of the International Association for Forensic Phonetics and Acoustics and of the International Speech Communication Association. She frequently authors and co-authors scientific papers and presents her research at international conferences.
